Weight
Car, Driver, and Helmet before Feature Event) Max 58” left side weight
A stock frame. Stock 4 linked rear suspension has no left side weight rule.
Extra weight can be required to add without notice. All added weights to car should be painted white and have car number on it.
No weight below the frame, all weight must be mounted between frame rails, no exceptions. All added weights shall be securely fastened with a minimum of ½” steel grade threaded rod.
 
Body
Body should be ABC appearing, but not mandatory; ABC style fiberglass or aluminum template style. If body is not ABC template style, it should be stock appearing. (stock steel bodies are OK)
Full nose and rear bumper covers, complete ABC template (Five Star or equivalent). No alterations. Must be stock appearing template style, un-cut nosepiece. Nosepiece sides and bottom cannot be cut, trimmed, ground or altered. Stock 1” lip must remain on bottom of nose. 4” ground clearance min. Nose and bumper cover must match template package. There is no exception to this rule, no box style home made bodes.
No dirt noses.
Full front and rear window, must be Lexan, no glass. Template pieces.
Side windows minimum 15”.
Minimum roof height: 47” - 10” back from windshield on centerline.
Maximum rear deck height: 35” no angling of nose piece.
Tires not to extend past body panels. Cannot alter body to gain track width! Rear quarter width at wheel wells is 79.5” max.
Max front overhang 46” from center line of hub to leading edge of nose. 17.25” off ground to bumper line. Roof must have stock posts in original location.
Maximum spoiler width of 60”. Top of rear spoiler to ground not to exceed 41”. This is a 35” rear deck height with a 6.5” spoiler. Spoiler must be part of template package and follow the contour ABC approved only. If stock steel body is used, 6.5” max spoiler height, no wider than rear deck.
Spoiler not to exceed past rear deck. Maximum spoiler height is 6.5”.

Chassis
Full stock frame, Camaro or metric style front clip or perimeter type chassis only.
Stock frame may be cut at rear kick up. Under-slung rear OK. No lead to be mounted to under slung.
Wheelbase: 104” min. Max tire width: 80” outside to outside, measured at ground with toe boards. (back or front) Car cannot scrap track.
Factory front cross member may be modified to allow for 2” engine set back (Fuel pump notch)
Uni-body cars can have sub-frames tied together. Camaro uni-body type cars must remain with leaf springs. Must have wrecker hoops for towing front and rear.
No adjustment of chassis from driver’s compartment.
No electric or mechanical traction control devices.
 
Engines
Cast iron block.
Cast iron heads. Pro or dart type OK.
Wet oil system only. (Pump in Oil Pan)
One carburetor. 4 barrel, Headers and aluminum intake OK. Cast Iron intake and exhaust can deduct 50 pounds. No electric fuel pumps.
Engine setback not to exceed 2” max. from top ball joint to center of furthest forward cylinder (Chevy: left; Ford: right). 10” minimum crankshaft height.
 
Roll Cage
Minimum 4 post roll cage, 3 door bars left side; 2 door bars right side. High recommended. 1-1/2” x .090 wall thickness minimum.
4 main posts of cage to be welded to frame rails.
Drivers doors to have 24” x24” x 1/8” min. steel plate welded or bolted securely to cage. Drive shaft hoop required.
 
Interior
Steel floor pan under driver to extend from firewall to firewall – OEM or better (1/8” minimum). No mirrors or radios.
 
Brakes
Each wheel to have properly working brake. Bias device OK.
No shut off devices on brake system anywhere! Aluminum calipers OK.
Steel Rotors ONLY!
 
Rear Ends
Stock type or Ford 9”. Quick Change OK
3 or 4 link OK. Heims on 3 link OK. Steel tubes only. No aluminum. No Heims on 4 link. 4 link must be in stock appearing location.
 
Wheels
Steel safety 8” type. 1” lug nuts mandatory!
 
Transmission / Bell Housing
Stock Type 3 or 4 speed. Reverse must be working
No Bert-Brinn – or Falcon transmissions allowed.
Explosion proof bell housing, automatics to have approved scatter shield.
Any factory or racing clutch will be allowed. No Carbon Fiber
Where aftermarket clutches are applicable, use of a conventional clutch is required. For definition purposes, a conventional clutch is the only clutch allowed and the application and construction are defined in the following manner: Solid magnetic steel clutches and pressure plates only. Clutches must be positive engagement design. Slider or slipper clutch designs are not permitted. No carbon fiber clutches. Clutches found not to meet this definition will be deemed illegal.

 
Radiator
Mounted in stock location with overflow can and overflow tube to lower right corner of windshield – 2” minimum in length on window.
No anti-freeze. Water only!
 
Fuel / Fuel Cell
No alcohol or nitrous oxide. No pressure system.
Steel or braided lines (not in Drivers compartment).
Racing fuel cell mandatory. 8” minimum ground clearance. Must have fuel check valve.
Fuel cell, filler tube and filter to be properly mounted in trunk area. Rear fuel cell guard mandatory.
Cell shall be enclosed in red metal container.
 
Battery
Must be securely mounted, enclosed and above frame rails in front of rear end.
 
Tires
Hoosier 970’s
 
Suspension
Coil over with 5" diameter sprimgs non-adjustable steel shocks (minimum weight 3025 lbs.)
Coil over eliminators 5" diameter sprimgs non-adjustable steel shocks (minimum weight 3025 lbs.)
No adjustable shocks.
Screw jacks OK on all four (4) corners.
No canister shocks, steel only, no aluminum shocks NO EXCEPTIONS!! (Shock Value must be less than $200.00 each). Track or Driver in that feature on lead lap, may claim a competitors shocks. (Must be a written protest before feature event.) Adjustable sway bars OK. Spline bars OK. Aftermarket uppers OK. Tubular upper A frames OK (Steel only). Floater safety hubs OK. Minimum of 5” coil springs.
Rear suspension may be 3 or 4 link.
 
Additional Rules
A full fire retardant driving suit, racing gloves and Snell 95 or newer helmet is required.
A suitable form of neck restraint is recommended (a neck collar at minimum).
An aluminum racing seat with belts no more than 3 years old are recommended.
Window nets are mandatory.
Additional weight must be securely bolted to car and painted white with car # displayed.
All safety issues are subject to approval by Plymouth Speedway Staff.
HEAD AND NECK RESTRAINT SYSTEM HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
When transponders are supplied by the track and used for scoring, teams will be charged $300 each if not returned to appropriate official.
Teams are responsible for proper mounting of transponder, per official’s direction at track.
Officials have the right to reject any car from competing. The rules are subject to change at official’s discretion and weight penalties may be added for infractions. Official’s may and will alter rules at certain events to allow participation by local cars where they gain no unpenalized advantage.
Additional Race and Procedural Rules will be distributed at a later date. Breakout rule will be established prior to the beginning of the 2012 season.
Point standings will be maintained and a 2012 Champion will be declared. The top 10 will receive point fund earnings, awards, and be honored at the 2012 Awards Banquet.
Must compete in 85% of the events
 
Inspections, Mechanical Protest
Officials may require an inspection of any vehicle at any time. Vehicles placing in the first five positions must present themselves at the inspection station immediately after the conclusion of the feature race for such inspection and must NOT work on the car in any fashion until told to do so by a technical official.
A competitor must take whatever steps are required; including a complete tear down of the car, as requested by official’s to facilitate inspection of the car.
Failure to present a car for inspection when requested to do so, or refusal to take steps requested by officials, will be considered an admission of guilt and will be grounds for disqualification.
Protests regarding alleged mechanical infractions must be made prior to the feature race being called to the track for the official lineup. The written protest must specify, in detail, a single, specific part or rule that is in violation, and be given to the chief technical inspector or race director, along with a fee of $300 cash per violation. Mechanical inspection with respect to such protest will be made following the feature race. $100 of the fee will be retained by the speedway for administrative costs with the remaining $200 going to the winner of the protest.

A protest may only be filed by a competitor in the same feature race.
